We like to try new recipes when we actually have the time. Sometimes, we don't really know what we're doing and we just go with it. I had been craving asparagus randomly and was not quite sure how to cook it. We got some fresh asparagus and experimented.
I cut off the very end of each piece...
...threw it in a pan with random spices we grabbed from the cabinet...
...and then we ate...
...and it was delicious!
Pappy gave us a Bradford Pear tree and something else to plant in the backyard which I am very excited about!
It's going to give us shade, it's great for the earth, and they are beautiful trees.
Yesterday we planted them in the backyard...mom, pappy, drew, and I.

Well, the planting trees turned into swimming. I had to clean out Angel's BIG water bowl for the summer. Drew wanted to help and this is how it turned out :)

The asparagus looks yummy! What spices did you use?

A tip on the asparagus. Instead of cutting the ends off with a knife, you take them and hold them at both ends and snap them. Where the bottom breaks off that is the tough end to throw away. We eat asparagus a lot with different spices and grilled and add a little parmesan cheese. Yummy!!!! I'm so proud of you girls for eating all that good healthy food.
We used rosemary, garlic, steak seasoning, random things like that and it worked deliciously together :)
I think Drew looks like "The Thinker" ! Yah, thanks Pappy for the trees! I've got to get Chelsea cooking more she did a good job! As you can tell Mags loved it..she should have brushed her hair before eating! Love ya Mags!!!
