Decking The Tree November 2008

It has always been a tradition for us to decorate the tree together sometime during or after Thanksgiving. The girls are really good sports about it. (Thanks Dave for carrying the tree in and Sissy for helping move everything!) Maggie usually separates all the ornaments into each persons stack. For years we have all given personalized ornaments. Mom used to do it when she was alive. Sissy is the only one who faithfully gives all the kids ornaments. I buy one for each of mine but I don't do as good a job for all the others as she does. The girls take turns each year putting the angel on the tree and lighting it. This year was Jessica's turn.

Congrats Jessica!

Congratulations Jessica....I'm am so happy and proud of you! Everyone please keep Jess in their prayers. She has found a writing job and sounds like it is perfect for her. This has been her dream to find a job in the field she loves. It's not full time right now but it's a great start....I'll let her post the details but I know she will do well. I love you Jess and we are all proud of you!

Mags 15th Birthday!

I can't believe that my baby is 15 years old. Times passes all too quickly...Maggie I have enjoyed every moment with you....even though some of them have been very trying! J/K . You have been "one" of the three great joys in my life and I'm so thankful to have been blessed with such a wonderful daughter! We celebrated at Camino (Imagine that--we should own stock) after we went to get her learners permit. Me, Barry, Chelsea, William, Sissy, Darryl, Tif, Drew, Derek, DayDay, Will, Erika, Emily,Jessie, JoJo, Pappy, Kathy, Karen, Landon, Sherrie, Tony,(his girlfriend, sorry Tony can't remember the name).

Happy Birthday Mags I am proud of the young woman you have become-always be true to yourself and treat others like you would want to be treated.

Thanksgiving 2008

We spent Thanksgiving at Sissy's house. There is a house full when we all get together but I love it with all the kids running around. Brings back memories of when all of ours were so small. Those are precious years and I hope all of you do your best to enjoy every moment.

This is the time of year when I reflect on all the blessings in my life. The past few years have been a little rocky but when something is gone it's better to think of what you still have and what you can make from it. I am so blessed to have such great kids, a wonderful family and great friends who have been there for us through all of the changes in our lives. Thanks to all of you and we love you all very much!
